Katherine had already started building a website in Wix based on a friend’s design. But frustration with matching the design layouts, mobile stacking issues, and the time it was taking away from her core business had her questioning the whole project.
She hired me to replicate the design in Squarespace. This was one of my most challenging projects to date; until then, I had been both the designer and site builder for all of my other clients.
Not one to back down from a challenge, however, I took on the project despite an extremely tight launch deadline on top of a complex design with over 50 individual graphics to incorporate.
Now she can focus on her business, her clients, and her future. 📊🤓
Kimberly wanted to refresh her look and content and move to a platform that was easier to edit. We migrated over to Squarespace for a fresh concept and user-friendly editor.
Rather than play it safe, I really leaned into color to showcase her unique and beautiful art mediums. I also make sure we had a simple user journey so visitors to her site could explore the many different types of art and projects she’s created and been a part of.
As more artists of all generations lean into a digital presence to connect with potential art aficionados, it’s my mission to make having a website accessible to everyone. 🎨🖌️💜
Abby’s old website was focused on store branded merch, which didn’t align with her current business vision. She wanted to provide more information about her brick and mortar shop instead, so we ditched the old layout and I created a more magical design to match her lovely vintage, local artist, and consignment offerings.
Her website will be constantly evolving as new artists and items come into her ecosphere, so I focused on an easy-to-update layout and pages which she can manage herself as the shop offerings change and grow.
Helping clients gain clarity around who their ideal client or customer is and how to present themselves digitally is part of the Wild Women Web Design experience. 🔥👩🏻💻
Katrina had an existing site that didn’t communicate her offerings clearly, and the design wasn’t as professional as she wanted.
We took a deep dive into who her ideal client is, what kinds of help they were seeking, and how best to present her connected but distinct services to website visitors.
A bit of Wild Women magic and presto! A website with a natural vibe, clearly stated services, and images that reflected her branding while also subtly reflecting her words. 💻✨
Tracy decided to pivot her business and let her old Wix site go the way of the dodo. 🦤 Ready to start fresh, she provided me with a google doc of the written content she wanted along with an idea of the general vibe she was after.
I took it from there and created a brand new Squarespace site with all of the functionality bells and whistles she desired for her new venture.
Tracy was collaborative and eager to learn how to manage and update the site on her own - something which I love to see! Empowering women to feel more comfortable with tech is my ultimate goal. 🤓 💻
Jeanne was ready to pivot her business model and audience, and needed a brand update and complete redo of her existing website on Wix.
We discussed her target audience and offerings in order to craft a website that was modern, showcased her services, and presented the corporate feminine vibe that her clients were seeking.
This project was extremely collaborative; Jeanne designed her own logo and I used it as inspiration for the site’s design and feel. Our check-ins felt like grabbing coffee with a friend to catch up! ☕️🥐
Amanda’s goal was to level up her website and attract her desired patrons, which meant building a site with an artsy twist and a focus on selling. After our first chat, she was ready to bid Squarespace farewell and jump into the Shopify adventure.
With a clean slate in front of us, we put on our thinking caps and brainstormed the coolest pages and content for her brand spanking new website.
We spruced things up by adding pages that demo the variety of art mediums Amanda conquers and the awesome services she brings to the table. And, of course, we kept the website colors minimal to let her mind-blowing art steal the spotlight! 🎨✨
Amy had an existing but unfinished Wordpress site with far too many carousels and leftover lorem ipsum placeholder text. We discussed what info she wanted to convey to site visitors and what she liked/didn’t like about the existing site. After familiarizing myself with her theme, plugins, and desired functionality, I got to work. 👩🏻💻
Fast forward, and voilà! A cohesive and streamlined site. Whether visitors are looking to learn more about Amy’s impressive background and her community teaching or to purchase one of her stunning jewelry pieces, her easy-to-navigate site rolls out the digital red carpet for them! ✨
Robin had an existing website built over a decade ago to promote her book, Brains, A Zombie Memoir. She wanted a complete retro rebrand to promote her newest book, Exit 18W, to potential publishers.
She requested a cleaner, simpler design with a revamp of her pages and content that still retained a quirky feel.
A little custom code created the Home page hover effect of her dreams, and voilà! The perfect pad from which to launch her next literary endeavor. 📚🚀
Maddy had worked with an agency to create her website, but once it was launched, she wasn’t provided with the knowledge to make updates to it herself. Nor did she want to continue to work with the agency and pay even more for them to make small changes that she felt she could manage on her own.
So we grabbed some coffee and went over some of the processes in person. I made some changes for her and followed up with documentation that walked her through each step to make the changes and updates she wanted.
With a newfound confidence to manage her website herself, Maddy can now focus on her business and patients, knowing she has the power to make future updates as needed. 👩🏻💻📝
